Roses and Daggers

Project type

Wax, Mixed media, installation artwork

Date

Spring 2018

Location

Long Beach, California

This was an installation wax model inspired by the brand Vivienne Westwood. The goal behind this piece was to show how female's struggle with sexism. Roses are meant to be pretty, but the pain is buried unseen. I used wax to make roses and chains on the outside, and I put blades and mirror pieces on the inside to reflect people's face when they are looking into the sphere.
